Jokainen vaate on tehty Reilun kaupan luomupuuvillasta, jonka IMO (Institute of Marketecology) on sertifioinut luonnonmukaisesti viljellyksi.
Puuvilla viljellään Intiassa, kudotaan Saksassa ja tuotteet ommellaan Portugalissa Reilun Kaupan periaatteiden mukaisesti.
Jokaisesta ostetusta tuotteesta Armedangels lahjoittaa euron yhteen kolmesta avustuskohteesta, joissa tuetaan mm. puhtaan veden saantia ja kehitysmaiden lasten koulutusta.

Ecologically and socially responsible fashion has already conquered the markets in the UK, France and the States. However it’s taken much longer for it to catch on In Germany. This needs to end once and for all: the armedangels have arrived to spread their vision: to connect style with attitude.

Armedangels – behind it is a fashion label from Cologne which firmly believes that high quality design and fair production methods shouldn’t have to be mutually exclusive. “We want to prove that fair fashion can also be stylish,” say the young fashion makers. They are also by no means the only ones who want to reject child labour, exploitation and pollution. Well-known figures such as Juergen Vogel and Thomas D are also convinced by the label’s concept and enjoy wearing the street fashion styled clothes to public events.

Both armedangels collections are FAIRTRADE certified. That means fair wages and fair working conditions for everyone who takes part in the production process. That starts with the cotton farmers in India and filters through to the entire manufacturing process down to the sewing done in Portugal. In addition armedangels supports the Indian school project “Pratham”. By buying a shirt customers will also be financing a months schooling for an Indian child. In this way the guys in Cologne want to give something back to the country that provides them with their most important raw material. It won’t be long before the customers are able to choose between three different projects and decide for themselves exactly where their money goes.

The label’s first two collections stand out for their first class quality and exclusive designs. International icons from the street art scene such as the Swiss graffiti artist Sigi von Koeding aka DARE and Stohead from Germany, who has been active in the scene for 20 years, have designed several motifs for armedangels.. Presenter Johanna Klum has also joined the ranks and swapped her microphone for a crayon so that she could design her own motif too.
